The consultancy wing of Seaberg offers services in materials development, training and facilitation.
These are undertaken by Brian Walter, at times in partnership with consultants with specialist skills.
Walter is qualified, through TEAM consulting, in the following assessment Unit Standards:
- Design and Develop Assessments (US 7976) ETDP SETA Reg. No. L68164Wal
- Plan and Conduct Assessment of LOs (US 7978) ETDP SETA Reg. No. L68164Wal
His work experience includes:
- Journalism (news reporter on the E.P. Herald, Port Elizabeth)
- Being a teacher of English (3 years, 1st and 2nd language, Chapman Senior Secondary School in Bell Road, Gelvandale, Port Elizabeth
- Lecturer (later senior lecturer) in the Department of English, University of Fort Hare (18 years)
- Co-ordinator of overall implementation of the University of Fort Hare’s Strategic Plan (contract position) and chair of the Strategic Planning Committee.
- University of Port Elizabeth Co-ordinator of the National Professional Diploma in Education (NPDE) in-service teacher training programme (Language, Maths and Science), based at SMATE, Bird Street Campus (contract position).
- University of Fort Hare: contracted facilitator/trainer in the Tranversal Training Programme (Management and Leadership Development, Effective Communication, Customer Care, Batho Pele, Coaching and Mentoring).
